Complete your first client review

In your editor workspace, choose “New review”, then “Request a manuscript” or “Import a manuscript”. For an import, check the chapter split, service, and version label before choosing “Import and start reading”. Uploading does not start AI analysis.

Open “Manuscript”, choose a chapter, select a passage, and choose “Add comment”. Write in “Your comment”, then choose “Save comment”. The manuscript stays unchanged, and the comment is not shared until you approve it.

In “Review findings”, inspect the evidence and set your decision. Use “Private editor note” for working thoughts and “Author query” for the message you may share. Approving for the client is a separate checkbox; choose “Save review” to save your changes.

AI is optional. Choose a tool or workflow and check its scope before running. Confirm the author’s permission, inspect the credit quote, and decide whether to proceed. An AI finding is a lead to review, not an approved query or a change to the manuscript.

Open “Client handoff” and “Download reports”, then choose “Preview / Print to PDF” to inspect the report. Only approved feedback belongs in the handoff. For the original DOCX, use “Check Word export”, read the warnings, and inspect the downloaded file in Word. Ambiguous anchors and complex edits may be skipped.

In “Revisions”, use “Preview upload” before “Accept as new revision” for an incoming client draft. Choose “Compare to current” for a saved version and read the author’s response alongside the changed passage. A reply or a text change does not automatically resolve a query.
