What Scrivener does well

Scrivener earned its place for a reason. The binder lets you rearrange scenes and chapters without fighting a single endless document. Character and setting sketches, metadata, corkboard views, and compile for export give novelists a serious project home. For outlining, drafting in pieces, and preparing a manuscript for submission or self-publishing formats, Scrivener is a proven tool.

Many writers keep notes and research inside Scrivener alongside the prose. That organization is real work done well. The limitation is not “Scrivener is bad at writing.” It is that organizing text is not the same job as scanning the finished manuscript for facts that disagree with each other.

What Novilot does differently
