How to start writing a novel in Novilot

You do not need an outline before you open the editor. A blank project, one chapter, and a first sentence are enough to begin. Import later if you already have a manuscript elsewhere.

  1. From the dashboard, choose New Project and give the book a working title.
  2. Open the project. If there are no chapters yet, choose Create your first chapter.
  3. Type into the editor. Saves happen as you write; you can rename chapters any time.
