How to create a custom tool

You do not need a blank form. Say what you wish Novilot could tell you about your book. It drafts the tool, shows what it will read and cost, and you keep it when it looks right. More about Build Your Own Tools.

1. Open a project, switch to Revise, and open the Analysis screen (or click Build a tool in the toolbar).
2. In the Build a tool dialog, describe what you want to know about your book, or start from an example.
3. Press Build it. Novilot drafts a name, what the tool does, what it reads, and what it costs.
4. On the review screen, choose Keep it. The tool appears under Your tools and works like any shipped check.

Optional: on the review screen, choose Change details to edit the instructions, or Try it to run once before you keep the tool.
